If you search for a “Tesla car” in October 2026, the answer has changed since a year ago. Tesla Car now sells three production passenger vehicles: the Model 3 sedan, the Model Y SUV and the Cybertruck pickup. The Model S and Model X have ended production. The company is also building a robotaxi called the Cybercab and an electric truck called the Semi, and it has shown a new Roadster that is not due until 2028.

This guide covers what each Tesla car is, what happened to the older flagships, how the cars are selling, and what is confirmed versus still just a plan.

What Tesla Cars Can You Buy Right Now?

Several 2026 lineup guides agree that Tesla Car active new-car range is the Model 3, Model Y and Cybertruck. Two lineup updates matter. EV Charging Stations, an independent EV site, reported that the Model S and Model X were cancelled. Electrek reported that the “Other Models” category in Tesla Car delivery figures now mostly means Cybertrucks.

Model 3 is the smallest and cheapest Tesla Car, and its only sedan. EV Charging Stations lists four versions: Model 3 RWD, Premium RWD, Premium AWD and Performance. One 2026 lineup guide puts the longest-range Model 3, the Premium rear-wheel-drive version, at up to 363 miles. Most trims land closer to 300 miles, depending on wheels and equipment.

Model Y is the compact SUV and the volume leader. Six versions are listed for 2026: RWD, AWD, Premium RWD, Premium AWD, Performance and the Model Y L. The Model Y L is a newer three-row variant that one lineup guide dates to July 2026. EV Charging Stations gives an EPA combined range of up to 357 miles for the Premium RWD, and AWD versions are slightly lower.

Cybertruck is the stainless-steel pickup, in production since late 2023. Its range sits roughly between 300 and 325 miles depending on trim, according to the sources checked. Sales are modest: Tesla’s Q3 2026 report counted only 8,295 deliveries across all “Other Models”, and Electrek noted that nearly all of them were Cybertrucks.

One practical warning: prices for Tesla Car differ widely between websites, and Tesla changes them often. Several sources gave conflicting starting prices for the same trim. Check Tesla’s own configurator for your country before you decide, because the amount differs by market and trim.

What Happened to the Tesla Model S and Model X?

Tesla confirmed the end of both cars on its fourth-quarter 2025 earnings call on January 28, 2026. Elon Musk said it was time to bring the programs to an “honorable discharge,” according to Forbes. Tesla’s own timeline, as summarised by one Tesla-focused guide, closed custom orders in April, saw the last cars leave the Fremont, California line in late May, and set June 30, 2026 as the official end of production.

Falling sales help explain the decision. Cox Automotive data cited by Forbes showed Model S sales dropping to 5,889 units in 2025 and Model X sales to 13,066 units, both down sharply from 2024. Several guides say the Fremont space is being repurposed, with some naming Tesla’s Optimus robot as the reason. Treat that part as reported rather than something Tesla has fully detailed.

Existing owners are not left behind. Tesla has said it will keep providing service, parts and software updates for S and X cars already on the road, according to the same guide. A Tesla lineup image shared on October 12, 2026 also showed the two models gone from the purchase page. Some inventory may still be sold, and used examples remain widely available.

How Are Tesla Cars Selling in 2026?

Tesla’s own Q3 2026 production and delivery report, filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, gives the clearest picture. The company delivered 486,532 vehicles in the quarter and produced 464,391. Model 3 and Model Y accounted for 478,237 of those deliveries, and other models for 8,295.

Three points of context help here:

    • Deliveries beat the company-compiled analyst consensus of 461,974.
    • They were slightly below the all-time record of 497,099 set in Q3 2025, a quarter Electrek linked to a US buying rush before the federal EV tax credit expired.
    • Q2 2026 deliveries were 480,126, so the latest quarter was up about 1.3%.

The US federal EV tax credit ended for vehicles bought on or after October 1, 2025, according to Electrek and vehicle-data sites, so older articles that mention a $7,500 credit are out of date for the US. Tesla reports full Q3 financial results on October 21, 2026.

What Is the Tesla Car Cybercab?

The Cybercab is a two-seat robotaxi with no steering wheel or pedals, built at Giga Texas. Musk said production had started on Tesla’s first-quarter 2026 earnings call in April, while warning that the early ramp would be very slow. Reuters reported that Tesla began offering Cybercab rides in limited parts of Austin, Texas on September 3, and that Austin remains the only city where riders can hail one. One summary of Fox Business reporting puts the Austin fleet at more than 300 cars.

Treat the rollout as early. The US safety regulator, NHTSA, has been examining the Cybercab’s certification and asked Tesla for more information by September 30, according to Insider Monkey on Yahoo Finance. The Cybercab is a ride-hailing vehicle, not something you can buy, so it does not change what a private buyer can order today.

Tesla Semi and the New Roadster

The Tesla Semi is the electric heavy truck first shown in 2017. Tesla’s second-quarter shareholder deck listed it as being commissioned at a new Nevada factory, with production planned to start in 2026. Yahoo Finance also reported a European-spec Semi shown in Germany, with customer deliveries targeted for late 2027 by trucking site Transport Topics. No verified production volumes have been published.

The second-generation Roadster was unveiled this month at a SpaceX test site in McGregor, Tesla Car. According to Fox Business, Tesla said production would begin in 2028, roughly eight years after the original 2020 delivery promise. Pricing and specifications for customers have not been confirmed, so the Roadster is a future product rather than a car you can order.

    Which Tesla Should You Choose?

This is general guidance rather than a test result, since ExploreMedia has not driven Tesla Car. The Model 3 suits solo drivers, couples and commuters who want the lowest entry price. The Model Y suits families who need more cargo space, and the Model Y L adds a third row for those who need it. The Cybertruck suits buyers who want a pickup with strong towing and acceleration claims and who accept a higher price and a polarising design. Anyone wanting a Model S or Model X now has to look at used cars.

Whichever you choose, compare the exact trim, the charging options where you live, and any local incentives. Tesla’s website and a local delivery centre are the reliable sources for current availability and pricing.

    Conclusion

The Tesla car range is smaller and more focused than it was a year ago: Model 3, Model Y and Cybertruck today, with Cybercab, Semi and Roadster as future products at different stages. Tesla Car still delivers close to half a million vehicles a quarter, almost all of them Model 3s and Model Ys. For buyers, the key points are that the S and X are gone, US tax credits have ended, and prices should always be checked on Tesla’s own site.

What Tesla cars are available in 2026?

Tesla’s current production passenger vehicles are the Model 3, Model Y (including the Model Y L) and the Cybertruck. The Model S and Model X have ended production.

Is Tesla still making the Model S and Model X?

No. Tesla announced on January 28, 2026 that both would end, and production wound down in the second quarter of 2026. Existing owners are still supported with service, parts and software updates.

    What is the cheapest Tesla?

The Model 3 is Tesla’s entry-level car, but sources disagree on current prices and Tesla changes them often. Check Tesla’s configurator for your country for the exact figure.

What is the difference between the Model 3 and Model Y?

The Model 3 is a compact sedan and the Model Y is a taller SUV with more cargo space. The Model Y also offers a three-row Model Y L version.
